Senior Director, Partnerships
Adam Wood is senior director of partnerships for RISE.
He previously served as RISE’s director of college partnerships, working to create and strengthen relationships at every level of college sports and broaden RISE’s reach within the industry. Together, Adam and each of RISE’s collegiate partners identify and customize programs that will assist the school in creating an atmosphere that empowers student-athletes, coaches and administrators to generate social progress within their campus community.
Before joining RISE in July 2017, Adam served as director of business development with Summit Athletic Media in Charlotte, N.C. At Summit, he worked with hundreds of collegiate athletic departments to help them synthesize their vision and reach their goals in marketing, fundraising, communications and ticket sales through engaging print, web and video collateral. Prior to that, Adam worked in Michigan with the Lansing Lugnuts, Toronto Blue Jays Single-A affiliate, where he worked within the community to facilitate group outings varying in size from 20 to more than 5,000 fans.
Adam is a proud alumnus of the University of Michigan with bachelor of arts degree in sport management and communications. He is pursuing a master of science degree in sport management through Western Carolina University.
Adam volunteers with Dream on 3, a North Carolina-based nonprofit that makes the sports dreams come true for children with developmental disabilities and chronic illnesses. He also regularly can be found traveling throughout the country with his wife, Sara, to support their favorite sports teams, the Michigan Wolverines, Chicago Cubs and Charlotte Hornets.
