Equality is a winning play
The Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE) launched its “Equality is a winning play” public awareness campaign in 2017 at Super Bowl LI in Houston, promoting the idea that standing up for racial equality benefits everyone.
Fans at the Super Bowl had the opportunity to visit RISE’s interactive fan activation booth at the NFL Experience, where they took and shared photos holding equality posters on social media and received giveaways such as temporary tattoos with an equality message.
RISE set up a similar fan experience booth promoting this campaign at the Pac-12 Conference men’s basketball tournament in March 2017 in Las Vegas.
The “Equality is a winning play” campaign also was featured in the official game programs at Super Bowl LI, Super Bowl LII and 2017 NBA All-Star and NHL All-Star games.
